In the communication studies program, you’ll be part of a supportive community where professors and students work closely together to understand the role of communication at home, work, and in the public sphere. The program will help you develop skills to build strong relationships, manage conflict, lead teams, promote health, better understand political and mediated messaging, and practice influence in ways that are both effective and ethical. You’ll learn how to connect with people from many different backgrounds and come to appreciate how communication works and why it matters.
