About the Lab

The Research on Equity, Advocacy, and Communication in Health (REACH) Lab is dedicated to advancing health equity and well-being for all communities through innovative research, advocacy, and dynamic communication strategies. We take a transdisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing the complex factors that influence health outcomes, including intersectional layers of identity (i.e., race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, social class, etc.), social stigma, and barriers to accessible healthcare.  Our goal is to bridge the gap between knowledge and action, ensuring that the benefits of our research are accessible and beneficial to everyone, particularly those who have traditionally been marginalized in our society as well as those in positions of power to enact change.
