Biography

Soprano Jocelyn van Wyk is an actress, stage director, and owner of Sego Studios where she offers private voice and acting lessons. Jocelyn has performed and directed several opera and music theater productions across the United States. Jocelyn received a Masters of Music in Opera Performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College in 2020 and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Southern Utah University in 2017. Jocelyn specializes in character development and loves telling beloved stories in new meaningful ways. Jocelyn is passionate about sharing the beauty of opera, and musical theater with those who have never experienced it before. Her hope, in all fields, is to guide music from the written page and bring it to life in a way that brings joy to those who indulge in the pleasures of performance.
