<bio>Annie Blake Hansen is a junior in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at Utah State University. She has completed a minor in French and International Studies. She is currently the BSW president of the SWSA. Her professional interests include healthcare and hospice social work, as well as a long-term goal of teaching as a professor of social work. She is particularly drawn to micro-level practice, where she values building meaningful, client-centered relationships with individuals and families. Annie approaches social work through a strengths-based perspective and is committed to culturally responsive practice, recognizing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in supporting clients from varied backgrounds. She values understanding clients’ lived experiences within their social, cultural, and systemic contexts and strives to advocate for respectful, ethical, and inclusive care with all her clients. <br></br>In her free time she loves volunteering in her community, hanging out with friends, talking walks, traveling to a new random country (16 and counting), watching Gilmore Girls, reading historical fiction, cooking, and doing hot yoga. She is very passionate about social work and is looking forward to the upcoming opportunities in this field.</bio>
