REACH Lab awarded a Research Catalyst Grant

The REACH Lab was awarded a Research Catalyst (RC) Grant worth just under $30,000 from the USU Office of Research. In support of USU’s goal for the RC Grant, our lab is using the award to collect pilot data to support an application for external funding. The RC Grant will support the REACH Lab’s ongoing program of research to support families experiencing substance use. 

For this specific project, a group of interdisciplinary researchers from Utah State University, Baylor University, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University will conduct interviews to identify turning points in family members' experiences with their loved one's substance use. Findings from this project will be used to inform an NIH grant application focused on the development of an innovative, targeted intervention that aims to reduce the burden of addiction on families.
