Erin Cox, Professional Practice Assistant Professor in Utah State University’s Department of Communication, has been named a 2026 Faculty Champion by the Center for Community News. This national initiative supports university-led reporting programs addressing local news gaps.

The story Lydia Campbell wrote for her JCOM 1130 class on the USU rodeo team's new partnership with the USU football team made the Salt Lake Tribune Sports Section.
