Though USU doesn't have its own chapter, USU Public Relations, Social Media & Journalism students are active in the Society of Professional Journalists and teach and test its ethics tenets. Students participate in events and awards with the Utah Headliners chapter in Salt Lake City. Student-produced programs have won many awards, and A-TV has dominated the Mark of Excellence Awards for students the last few years. USU is also active in the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys).
