Biography

Tammy M. Proctor is a Distinguished Professor of History in the Department of History, Cultures, & Ideas at Utah State University. She teaches modern European and world history. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Proctor holds degrees in journalism and history from the University of Missouri and a PhD in history from Rutgers University. Dr. Proctor’s most recent publication is Saving Europe: First World War Relief and American Identity (2025 Oxford). She will be on sabbatical for the 2025-2026 school year.
