Mareena Luna-Llanes

Biography

Mareena Luna-Llanes is a PhD student in Sociology with an emphasis on social inequality. Mareena's academic foundation was built at the undergraduate level, where she earned a BS in sociology and a minor in peace and conflict transformation.

As a graduate assistant for Dr. Christy Glass and Dr. Erin Hofmann, she is actively engaged in current research. Her own research interests are centered on the intricate relationships between morality and ethics, political justice, international conflicts, and minority studies. Through her work, Mareena aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the societal structures that perpetuate inequality and conflict.
