Synopsis
"The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka's army of curious Oompa-Loompas."
Director's Note
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is, for me, a story about legacy — what we inherit, what we keep, and what we choose to pass on. Wonka’s factory is wonder and invention, but also memory and responsibility. Charlie’s quiet stewardship contrasts with the other children’s inheritances of entitlement, indulgence, and showmanship.
Our production asks who we become when no one is watching: how wonder without care can decay, and how true legacy comes from deliberate, often small acts. The designs, movement, and music aim to reveal both the magic and the moral weight of inheritance.
