Who We Are
Production Services supports the university’s mission and vision by managing university performance facilities and spaces; providing production support and resources for department-supported performances and performative research; facilitating project management within our college; and collaborating with college academic unit directors/chairs, faculty, staff, and students.
We cultivate a supportive, collaborative culture that allows our students and faculty to thrive in the work they do. Our department provides experiential, hands-on opportunities for students interested in developing or refining technical backstage skills while contributing to the successful execution of performances and events.
What We Do
We are stewards of university performance venues overseeing the usage, optimization, and operational efficiency. In coordination with college academic unit directors/chairs and production faculty/staff, we assist with the execution of the visual and performing arts season. We work closely with the USU Office of Events on university and community use of college spaces and collaborate with Facilities to care for and preserve these spaces for our students and guests. We help maintain and modernize production equipment to enhance student and guest experiences, providing resources for academic work and successful event collaboration.
