Duncan Clark is a 23 year old sophomore at USU Eastern. He is studying to get his associates in generals. But he has a great passion for theater and storytelling. Drawing and writing are two of his favorite hobbies. Duncan is also a good impressionist and loves to do voices. He has great aspirations to break into the entertainment industry and create the next big thing! But he is patient and doing it one day at a time.

Amanda Barfuss, a high school dance instructor with 15 years of choreography experience and 30 years of dance training, brings vibrant, dance-driven storytelling to SpongeBob the Musical. Her work highlights hip hop influences, country line dance, and energetic group numbers. She has previously choreographed Something Rotten! and Ride the Cyclone for USU Eastern Theatre.

Scyler Smith has been doing makeup and wigs for shows for over 12 years. She is a trained special effects makeup artist. She started with USU Eastern back in 2010 in the production of Sweeney Todd and fell in love with the program. Marcellus did costumes for this production of SpongeBob and learned a lot of new things from it. It is their second year at USUE and they will be getting their associates degree in May. They are so grateful for the experiences that they have gotten from this program and its opportunities. Marcellus has done costume work for Lend Me a Tenor, Romeo and Juliet, 12 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse and Ride the Cyclone at USUE before this. Marcellus is so sad to see the program come to an end, even though they've been at the University for a short time the program has made a lasting impact on their life. They want to thank Brent Innes for all his support through thick and thin in this program and being a good mentor. Marcellus will now be up at the Logan campus.

Steven Nielsen is beyond excited to be directing SpongeBob the Musical. He is so grateful for Brent Innes, the cast and crew for believing in and trusting him with his vision and the very last production here at Utah State University Eastern.

Steven is a graduate from Carbon High School and Southern Utah University. He has traveled the world as a professional dancer, actor, director, teacher, coach, adjudicator and choreographer. He has performed in film, television and on the biggest stages worldwide.

He was the original Dance Coach for Cirque du Soleil's, The Beatles LOVE at the Mirage Casino/ Resort in Las Vegas, He just returned to Utah after opening the number one rated show in Nashville, Tennessee, SHINERS.

Steven has been selected as Utah's 2026 choreographer of the year by UDEO. He is blessed to be doing what he is most passionate about and hopes that he has inspired everyone that he has had the pleasure of working with in this spectacular production. "Love you, Mean it!"
