Kirra McEntire was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her mom and three brothers currently live in Twin Falls, Idaho. From a young age, she had a passion for creativity and fine arts, always finding inspiration in the world around her. It was her high school art teacher who gave her the confidence to pursue her artistic talents in college, leading her to Utah State University. She chose USU for its renowned Interior Architecture and Design program, where she has been able to refine her skills and develop a deep appreciation for high-end residential design. Beyond academics, Kirra is an avid supporter of Aggie athletics. She has been a dedicated member of the HURD committee for three years, helping to organize tailgates, promote women's sporting events, and bring energy to the stands as a proud Aggie fan. Her friendly and bubbly personality makes her a natural at connecting with people, and she loves making others laugh. After graduation, Kirra plans to move to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she will join WRJ Design, specializing in luxury residential interiors. She is eager to bring her passion for design to life in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country.
It's your outlook on life that counts. If you take yourself lightly and don't take yourself too seriously, pretty soon you can find the humor in our everyday lives. And sometimes it can be a lifesaver.
Student Projects
Heads & Tails
This hand-drawn wall covering line is a celebration of whimsy and imagination, featuring humans with animal heads in scenes that merge historical elegance with playful surrealism. The idea for the line emerged from Astek’s “Drunk Monkeys” designed by Andrew Alford. Heads & Tails, the toile collection is divided into three themes: The first dives into the mysteries of the deep sea, blending the refined attire of the 1890s and 1900s with aquatic landscapes and fantastical marine elements called “Duck Soup.” The second soars to thrilling heights, capturing the daring spirit of early 1900s acrobatics and the wonder of hot-air balloon adventures. Together, these designs create a unique narrative tapestry, perfect for adding charm and sophistication to any space called “Collywobbles.” The third evokes the spirit of 1920s fashion and revelry, showcasing stylishly dressed anthropomorphic characters in lively party scenes full of flair and decadence called “Cat’s Pajamas.” The last two designs provide different scales for some of the drawings. “Buffoonery” is a smaller proportion of all the hot air balloon drawings. “BathTub Gin” highlights the bathtub and fish drawings from “Duck Soup.”
Bighorn Airport
Bighorn Airport, located in West Yellowstone, Montana, is a boutique regional airport that merges modernist design with the rugged spirit of the American West. Inspired by the North by Northwest house, its exterior features bold geometric lines and expansive glass walls that frame breathtaking mountain views. The airport’s materials, including locally sourced stone, warm wood, and weathered steel, echo the rustic beauty of Yellowstone while paying homage to the old cowboys who once roamed the land. Inside, travelers can relax in a cozy café, a VIP lounge, and a thoughtfully designed waiting area, all crafted for comfort and efficiency. The walls showcase curated Western-inspired artwork celebrating the rich cowboy heritage of the region. Security flows seamlessly ensuring a stress-free experience while the bathrooms offer a striking contrast with a vibrant jewel box design infused with colors drawn from Yellowstone’s iconic geysers and hot springs adding a touch of unexpected wonder to the journey.
Tavola Tovah
The Levi family cherishes their deep-rooted Jewish traditions and love for Italian cuisine. After years of traveling between New York, Rome, and Jerusalem, Daniel and Miriam Levi dreamed of a home where their faith and passion for food could coexist. They decided on Scarsdale, New York, a community known for its strong Jewish presence, they knew a standard kitchen wouldn’t suffice. Observing kosher dietary laws means completely separating dairy and meat in both storage and preparation. Tavola Tovah is a stunning Italian-inspired kosher kitchen with two adjoining spaces. “Tavola” is Italian for “table” and “Tovah” is Hebrew for “good.”
The main kitchen serves as the heart of the Levi’s home. Every detail, from labeled utensils to separate dishwashers, is designed to honor their traditions while embracing the warmth and elegance of Italian culinary design. Tavola W is more than just a kitchen, it’s a gathering place where family and friends can come together to celebrate faith, food, and community.

Moran Residence

Expansive glass windows blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, offering uninterrupted views of the Tetons and nearby hidden lakes.
