Clara Larsen is a graduating senior in the Interior Architecture & Design program at Utah State University, graduating in May 2026. She has a love for traditional and classical interiors that feel timeless, layered, and full of character. Over the past four years, she has loved being part of the IAD program and is grateful for the knowledge, mentorship, and friendships that have shaped her experience.

Clara is passionate about residential design and believes the spaces we live in deeply impact our well-being and the memories we create. She loves working with people and designing beautiful, intentional spaces that feel personal and meaningful, and looks forward to pursuing and continuing to grow in residential design after graduation.

Decorating is not about making stage sets, it's not about making pretty pictures for the magazines; it's really about creating a quality of life, a beauty that nourishes the soul.

Student Projects

Whitmore Estate

Nestled in the heart of Massachusetts, Whitmore Estate features a classic brick exterior that reflects the timeless character of New England architecture. Inside, warm and traditional interiors draw subtle inspiration from classic British design, blending craftsmanship, comfort, and elegance to create a welcoming family home that feels both refined and inviting.

Tradition in Color

“Tradition in Color” reimagines the classic kitchen with a lively, personal twist. Rooted in traditional design, the space combines timeless detailing, warm materials, and light blue cabinetry with bold color and character. A tiled range niche and a wall of windows over the sink create balance between charm and function, resulting in a kitchen that feels both collected and full of life.

Villa Rivelle

Villa Rivelle captures the quiet elegance of Bordeaux through a refined take on Neoclassical design. Rooted in symmetry and balance, the villa combines classic French detailing with a soft, romantic palette that feels timeless yet livable. Set along the water, it blends tradition and serenity, creating a space that feels graceful, inviting, and connected to its surroundings.

Pam's

Pam’s honors the legacy of my grandma through a fresh take on mid-century modern design. Inspired by her beloved cinnamon roll shop and her creative spirit, the bakery combines clean lines, warm wood tones, and nostalgic color to create a space that feels both familiar and new. Rooted in memory yet designed for today, Pam’s blends comfort and character, resulting in a bakery that feels inviting, personal, and connected to its story.

Chitra School of Learning

Chitra School of Learning draws inspiration from the natural landscape and cultural rhythms of Kullu, India, creating a space that feels both grounded and uplifting. Rooted in human-centered design, the school blends local materials, open-air learning, and thoughtful spatial planning to support dignity, curiosity, and connection. Centered around a communal courtyard, the design encourages flexibility, community, and a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Chitra celebrates education as a shared experience, simple, meaningful, and deeply connected to place.

Haven, Wallcovering Collection

A Wallcovering Collection is rooted in a sense of comfort, craftsmanship, and quiet beauty. Inspired by global textile traditions and time-honored techniques, each pattern reflects a layered and collected approach to design. From delicate botanicals to structured repeats, the collection balances softness and structure, creating spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Haven celebrates the art of home, offering a backdrop that feels warm, intentional, and enduring.
