Student Projects
Hearth House Hotel
Designed as a collection of private cabins, this project offers a refined yet approachable take on luxury hospitality. The cabins are intentionally separated to provide privacy, creating a quiet sense of retreat for families and guests alike. Warm, cozy interiors are elevated through rich color palettes and layered textures that add depth and character. The space feels grounded and intimate, where high-end design enhances comfort rather than competing with it.
Rowe Residence
This Salt Lake City residence for a family of four embraces a balance of traditional style and modern silhouettes. Introducing a sense of freshness and renewal through soft yet refined colors. Inspired by the lightness of spring, the design aims to feel timeless but not heavy. Blending a feminine elegance with modern clarity to create a welcoming environment that supports both family life and a sense of beauty.
Wilstead Residence
Designed as a family-centered retreat, this Bear Lake vacation home balances comfort, connection, and flexibility for multi-generational living. Generous shared spaces—kitchen, dining, and living areas—serve as the hub for gathering and activity, while bedrooms and bunk rooms maximize sleeping capacity without compromising coziness. Large windows and open sightlines connect the interior to the lake, and a neutral palette of soft whites, blues, greens, and warm wood tones adds layered warmth. Flexible spaces, including a game room and outdoor gathering areas, support both active family use and quiet retreat, creating a home that is welcoming, adaptable, and grounded in its natural setting.
Clementine
Clementine is a dress boutique designed to feel inviting and feminine. Its light, airy palette creates an open, welcoming space that reduces stress and encourages longer visits, while contrasting pops of blue and orange draw attention to key displays, guiding browsing and sparking impulse interest. Inspired by its “sweet delights” theme, soft textures, warm lighting, and curated displays invite customers to touch, try on, and linger. Clementine is a space where color, design, and experience come together to make shopping effortless.
Terra IV Therapy
This Arizona IV Therapy Clinic is designed as a space where nature and wellness meet, using the desert landscape as inspiration for both palette and atmosphere. Drawing on precedents such as Mii Amo and Joali Being, the design reflects how the built environment can support healing, relaxation, and restoration. The interiors embrace desert tones and natural elements to create a calming backdrop for a range of IV therapy treatments that promote hydration, energy, immunity, and overall vitality. Rooted in the belief that wellness extends beyond necessity, the space invites guests to indulge in self-care, connecting the restorative qualities of nature with the transformative power of design.
Collins Residence
Designed for clients who value both culinary excellence and thoughtful living, this kitchen blends modern sophistication with warmth. Clean lines are softened by textured surfaces and organic materials, while a palette of earthy neutrals and deep stone tones creates depth and natural wood adds balance. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances are seamlessly integrated to enhance both performance and aesthetics, resulting in a space that celebrates the appliances within a contemporary, inviting design.
