Art + Design Scholarships

Undergraduate Junior Graduate

Recipients must be accepted into the USU Teacher Education Program and at least Junior standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA in art courses. Recipient should also be a current member of the Student Chapter of Nation Art Education Association.

Undergraduate Graduate Need-Based

Candidates must be graphic design majors with a minimum GPA of 3.5, have financial need, and shall go through the BFA design review. Recipient should be a student who demonstrates design potential and skill during the design review.

Undergraduate Graduate

To be awarded to either undergraduate or graduate students from the Art + Design Department.

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors Graduate Need-Based

Graduate student pursuing a degree in ceramics. May also be awarded to undergraduate students who are exceptionally talented juniors or seniors also pursuing ceramics. Financial need is also a consideration for this scholarship.

Undergraduate Seniors

A tuition and fees scholarship fro seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the Art Education major(s). Preference will be given to students with a ceramics emphasis.

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors

Junior or Senior majoring in Interior Design. Recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors Need-Based

Awardees shall be an Interior Design major, selection based on merit and financial need. Award shall be used toward living and travel expense during the time a student is working on an internship related to their field of study. The internship can be with any firm/business of the student's choice in New York City.

Undergraduate Freshmen Need-Based

Incoming freshmen in the Art + Design pre-program with a drawing and painting emphasis. Student needs to be in good academic standing with financial need. Preference given to incoming freshmen who are Cache Valley residents. Students will submit a drawing or painting of their original work.

Undergraduate

Undergraduates with declared major in Art & Design. Minimum GPA of 2.75. Shall have passed the Art Education BFA portfolio review. Shall submit 3 of their best drawings and/or paintings (image requirements). Applicants must have a portfolio.

Graduate

Student enrolled in Art & Design graduate program with their undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Usable for tuition, student fees, insurance, assistantships or fellowships, required course materials, supplies, and/or other expenses.

Graduate

Recipient must be a graduate student in Photography.

Undergraduate

For qualifying students majoring in Art with an emphasis on illustration.

For students majoring in ceramics. Must be a junior, senior, or 2 years of graduate work completed. Primary considerations will be scholarship, creative ability and demonstrated financial need.

For full-time students majoring in Art with an emphasis in painting, drawing, sculpture or printmaking.

To support Art & Design major students will an emphasis in Graphic Design. Students shall have finanical need and can be a junior, senior or graduate student. Scholarships may include but are not limited to scholarships and course materials.

This scholarship is for undergraduate students studying drawing, painting, or printmaking, recommended by faculty in these disciplines.

Candidates should be making progress toward a degree in the Department of Art, have a grade point average of 3.0 and show financial need.

Undergraduate or graduate students dedicated to completing a degree in the Department of Art + Design who have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Graduate

Awarded for in-state tuition and is to cover such time as required for the student to earn an MFA in Ceramics. Award should not exceed two years.

Candidates should be upper division students or graduate students with a declared major in photography.

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors Graduate Need-Based

Art + Design junior, senior or graduate student majoring or minoring in the visual arts. Emphasis can include painting, ceramics, photography, and two-dimensional art. GPA of at least 2.5 and registered for at least 6 credits. Awards will be based on financial need, educational goals, and demonstrated academic achievement.

Undergraduate Sophomore Graduate

Scholarship is to be given to a dedicated, exceptionally talented sophomore or higher undergraduate or a graduate student who is pursuing BFA or MFA degree in the Ceramics program at Utah State University.
