The USU Museum of Anthropology (MOA) is a teaching museum. This means that all of our exhibits are curated by Utah State University students. Here at the MOA, we offer opportunities for students interested in museum studies and anthropology to participate in collection management, curation, exhibition, community outreach, and artifact conservation. We offer internships, research opportunities, and part-time positions.
Internships
MOA offers unpaid (volunteer) and for-credit academic internships to fulfill program requirements.
Internships typically follow the semester-based academic calendar, however, summer internships are possible depending on availability.
For more information, please contact our director, Dr. Molly Cannon at molly.cannon@usu.edu.
Part-Time Employment
MOA frequently hires part-time, hourly students and non-students. Contact us to see if we are hiring.

Certificates
Museum Studies Certificate
The ICP of Museum Studies is a certification offered by USU and facilitated through MOA. The certificate gives students the opportunity to take classes in areas such as accounting, management, professional writing, art, public speaking, and communications to help them develop skills needed for graduate school in museum studies and various careers in museums.
Museum Administration and Collections Management Graduate Certificate
Our post-graduate degrees cater to students with diverse circumstances and career goals. Our seven degree programs motivate students to gain the skills necessary for advancement in cultural resource management (CRM), museum administration, and/or academic research. Our degree programs are modular, allowing students to tailor their educational experience closely to their needs and goals.
The Museum Administration and Collections Management Certificate prepares students to grow and strengthen a museum, build robust and ethical collections, and collaborate with multiple publics.
