Biography
Walker Zupan (he/they), is a Visiting Assistant Professor and Head of the BA Theatre Arts Program at Utah State University. He is an applied theatre artist, educator, and scholar whose practice centers on devising critically engaged theatre with youth and arts-integrated learning. At USU, Walker teaches courses in applied theatre, script analysis, theatre education, and drama in the community. Prior to entering academia, Walker spent several years as a full-time drama teacher in the New York City public schools, designing curricula for PK-12 learners, directing student productions, and partnering with classroom teachers to develop arts-integrated units. He holds a MFA in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Theatre from Northwestern University.
