Emily Heap

Biography

Emily Heap is a native of Logan, UT who grew up in the performing arts, beginning with Unicorn Pillow Theatre. She graduated Cum Laude from Utah State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting. Emily has both performed and worked in a technical capacity with various organizations including eight years with Old Lyric Repertory Company.

Emily spent sixteen years at the Cache Valley Center for the Arts in various roles including: Assistant Technical Director and Resident Lighting Designer. In her spare time, Emily trained for a number of years as an aerialist on lyra and static trapeze and has even attempted flying trapeze. She has not, as yet, run away to the circus.

Emily comes back to the USU Department of Theatre Arts as a Staff Assistant after spending the pandemic working as Receptionist for a skilled nursing/COVID facility.
