Meet the Theatre Design & Technology Students

The American College Theater Festival (ACTF) is a national theater program involving 18,000 students annually from colleges and universities across the country. ACTF aims to:

• Encourage, recognize, and celebrate the finest and most diverse work produced in university and college theater programs;
• Provide opportunities for participants to develop their theater skills and insight, and achieve professionalism;
• Improve the quality of college and university theater in the United States;
• Encourage colleges and universities to give distinguished productions of new plays, especially those written by students; the classics, revitalized or newly conceived; and experimental works.

Our Theatre Design & Technology students recently attended the Region 8 ACTF festival in Glendale, CA, taking home some amazing honors for their hard work.

• Samantha Clinger - Regional Honorable Mention in Lighting Design for "The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley"
• Chloe Satern - National Finalist in Costume Design for "Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really"
• Brighton DeWitt McDonald - Regional Runner Up in Stage Management for "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"
• Audrey Allen - National Finalist in Projection Design for "The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley"
• Carter Lee - Regional Winner in Lighting Design for "Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really"
• Mac McDermott - Heart of the Art Award for Scenic Design
