Graduate Study Carrels

Description

Graduate students are a vital part of the campus community, often acting as conduits between undergraduates and faculty. They teach courses and conduct research to advance their studies, yet without a centralized location for their programs, the 30+ faculty and graduate instructors that make up the Department of World Languages & Cultures are currently scattered across four locations. By creating spaces dedicated to graduate students, the new building creates a unified, collaborative environment that propels both teaching and research to the next level. The grad studies carrels facilitates space for course prep, grading, and reading while encouraging students to spend more time talking to and learning from each other.
