Programmatic Kitchen

Edible Academics

Description

Students who experience the process of creating cultural dishes gain insights into their language of study by participating in the universal language of food. This fully-outfitted kitchen aims to make teaching and learning about cultural foods more accessible with sinks, a cooking range, warming boxes, refrigerators, prep tables, and more. Faculty in the Department of World Languages and Cultures can reserve the kitchen for their in-class food demonstrations, and this kitchen is adjacent to the event space to easily facilitate catered gatherings, large and small.
