Founded in 2007 by Beverley Taylor Sorenson to create open opportunities to experience art, express creativity, and foster collaboration.
Arts Access offers art to students of all abilities, with an emphasis on serving students with disabilities. We connect teachers with resources to help them incorporate art in inclusive, equitable, and joyful ways. Our mission is student-centered and supports individual agency.
We are happy to showcase our incredible Music Therapist in the Cache County School District, Heather Overly. For the 2025-26 school year, Heather will provide service to Birch Creek Special Needs Preschool and Essential Elements Classrooms at South Cache Middle School, Mountain Crest High School, Greenville Elementary, and Millville Elementary.

Heather T. Overly
Heather T. Overly, SCMT, MT-BC, has been practicing music therapy for over 20 years. She earned her BS in Music Therapy from Utah State University in 2001 and has been Board Certified since graduation.
As the owner of Overlymusical LLC, she serves a wide range of clients, including adults in addiction recovery, teens with mental health challenges, older adults in retirement communities, hospice patients, and individuals with neurodiverse abilities. Heather also offers music development classes for parents and children ages 0–5, as well as group guitar classes for teens and adults.
Passionate about the healing power of music, Heather lives in Cache Valley with her husband, Devin, where they have raised four wonderful children.
Barry Stewart Mann
Barry Stewart Mann, MFA, is a professional actor, storyteller and arts educator based in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Harvard University and holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of San Diego. Barry is on the faculty of Lesley University’s M.Ed. Program in Integrated Teaching through the Arts since 2008, teaching courses in “Drama and Critical Literacy” and “Cultural History Through Storytelling.” He has taught and led workshops in story and drama integration at numerous colleges and universities. He is a proud member of the National Storytelling Network, the Southern Order of Storytellers, and Actors Equity Association. He has been delighting audiences and inspiring students for nearly four decades, and brings a vibrant honesty and caring playfulness to his performances, workshops, classes, and scripts.
Gerard Stropnicky
Gerard Stropnicky is in his 50th year as a multi-faceted theatre professional. After Northwestern, he studied with Alvina Krause, and in 1978 co-founded Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE), where he worked for the next 35 years, transitioning to Emeritus in 2013. He’s acted in over 100 productions, and directed 71 to date, including classic, contemporary, new, original or devised plays at BTE, Maryland Ensemble Theatre, Touchstone Theatre, Sandglass Theatre, Florida Shakespeare Festival and elsewhere. His work on LETTERS TO THE EDITOR (culled from 200 years of letters to local newspapers), was published as a play by Baker’s Plays/Samuel French and as a trade paperback by Touchstone/Simon & Schuster. In 2010, he was awarded the Temple Grandin Award winner for service to the autism community.
