Dr. David Coppin

David Coppin began his studies at USU in 1960 majoring in Premedical Biology. After a 2½‑year LDS mission to The Netherlands and Belgium, he returned to graduate in 1966, then completed medical school at the University of Utah in 1970. He served 13 years of active duty in the U.S. Army as an OB‑GYN physician before returning to Logan in 1979 to join the Budge Clinic, where he held multiple leadership roles. Retired since 2006, he remains active in community and USU service. David and his wife have travelled much of the world and spend much of their time with family history research. His association with USU is approaching 70 years and continues to be an important part of his life.
