Biography

Leslie Steed was raised in Logan, Utah. She earned an Associate’s degree in music from BYU Idaho, a Bachelor of Science and Secondary Education from USU, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Utah. Leslie has a deep love of learning and music and the arts. She has been able to use her music degree as she has lived in different areas in the country to teach private music lessons to piano, violin, and viola students. She has also been privileged to play in community orchestras including the American Festival Orchestra and the Cache Symphony Orchestra. Leslie has most recently worked as a Science teacher at Mueller Park Junior High School to impart her love of learning to students in the classroom. She also has 3 children of whom bring her the most joy in life. Leslie is married to Brian Steed, Director of the Janet Quinney Lawson Institute of Land, Water and Air at USU. Leslie enjoys any outdoor activities and spending time with family.
