Biography

My love of the arts and Utah State began very young. I was raised by a USU Aggie. My father graduated from the college of engineering with a Civil Engineering degree. My parents exposed us to the theater, music, fine art, dance and ballet from the time we were very young. We spent many hours together as a family at Ballet West, The Utah Symphony, The Shakespeare Festival and the various live theaters in Salt Lake. I began my college education at USU and met my husband, a fellow USU student, during my freshman year. We got married and started a family so I did not continue with my formal education. We raised 5 children and now have 13 grandchildren. I was involved in ballet and Community Theater from an early age. In high school I also participated in the speech and debate programs; later, judging at High School tournaments. Even after marriage and becoming a mother I tried to stay involved in my community.
