Biography
Jennifer Sinor has been at Utah State since August of 2000. A creative nonfiction writer, Jennifer teaches courses in craft as well as genre. She is the author of several books, including, most recently, The Yogic Writer: Uniting Breath, Body, and Page. Her essay collections include Sky Songs: Meditations on Loving a Broken World and Letters Like the Day: On Reading Georgia O’Keeffe. She has also written the memoir Ordinary Trauma. The recipient of the Stipend in American Modernism, her work has appeared in Best American Essays 2024 and The Norton Reader. At Utah State, she teaches introductory, advanced, and graduate creative nonfiction with classes that focus on the non-linear form, the braided essay, the flash form, and the speculative. She chairs the undergraduate creative writing program.
