In a bid to reach new audiences, Utah Public Radio is launching the Corner Concert Series. Inspired by National Public Radio’s Tiny Desk Concerts, the new segment sees UPR team up with Utah artists in a corner of the Logan station on the campus of Utah State University.
Utah State University recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall with a special performance by Tamara Mumford, mezzo-soprano, and pianist Adam Nielsen. The Jan. 14 event honored two decades of artistic excellence and community impact in one of the university’s most significant cultural spaces.
Utah State University Libraries has launched Intermountain Song Trails, a new oral history and folklore project that invites community members to share songs remembered from childhood, family life and migration experiences across the Intermountain West.

Apply/Audition
Auditions will be held on different dates in February. Find the audition dates, deadlines, and pre-screening requirements on our Application page.
Students who are unable to travel to campus for a live audition may submit a video audition.
Scholarship Deadlines
To quality for scholarships, there are some important deadlines to remember:
- You must complete the USU Admission Application by December 1st to be eligible for academic scholarships
- Complete the USU General Scholarship Application by March 30th (this requires an A-number)
- Caine Scholars for Excellence deadline is March 15th, early application is encouraged
- Complete your FAFSA, even if you don't think you will qualify for federal financial aid, to ensure you are eligible for more scholarships regardless of your need index
