Christine Douglass

Biography

Christine A. Douglass is a board-certified music therapist, music educator, and sound healing practitioner. After undergraduate work at Utah State University, she opened her own music therapy practice where she worked with individuals from birth to 95.  Specializations included geriatric, special education, adults with disabilities, and early childhood developmental care.  In 2017, Christine completed her graduate thesis at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College outlining music therapy validation techniques for hospice patients with dementia. Christine is currently pursuing a music therapy doctorate at Temple University with a focus on music therapy strategies in wellness with the use of the Native American Flute.  Other professional pursuits include being a historian for the Utah Chapter of Orff-Schulwerk Association, organizing self-care retreats, owning a piano studio, supervising music therapy students at Utah State University, and teaching music therapy skills on a collegiate level.
