Availability

Recital Packages are available for all students.

All reservation requests must be made at least 6 weeks in advance via the Music Department Scheduler.

60 Minute Package

$150 + FOH charges (approx. $96)

Includes

  • 45-min setup time with one tech
  • 30-min rehearsal & soundcheck with one tech starting 45 minutes before performance
  • 60-min performance time
  • Three techs for performance — Backstage SM, Lighting op, Audio op
  • Piano with bench, if requested
  • Padded Chair and Music Stand
  • Handheld wireless microphone on stand
  • Stereo room mic recording unedited and delivered after performance via Box link
  • Single Camera Video Recording
  • Basic concert stage lighting

  1. 6:00pm – 6:45pm Production Setup  
  2. 6:45pm – 7:15pm Rehearsal
  3. 7:00pm House Manager and 2 Ushers arrive 
  4. 7:15pm – 7:30pm Door open; Audience enters  
  5. 7:30pm – 8:30pm Performance 
  6. 8:30pm – 9:00pm Production Strike 

90 Minute Package

$200 + FOH charges (approx. $120)

Includes

  • 45-min setup time with one tech
  • 30-min rehearsal & soundcheck with one tech starting 45 minutes before performance
  • 90-min performance time with 5-10 min intermission
  • Three techs for performance — Backstage SM, Lighting op, Audio op
  • Piano with bench, if requested
  • Padded Chair and Music Stand
  • Handheld wireless microphone on stand
  • Stereo room mic recording unedited and delivered aXer performance via Box link
  • Single Camera Video Recording
  • Basic concert stage lighting

Additional Tech Options for Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall

  • + $100 – Live Streaming (includes a video technician for 3 hours)
  • + $25 – Audio playback stereo track from stage DI or booth laptop with stage monitor
  • + $75 – Media presentation system
    • Projector and screen with HDMI connection or Production Services laptop
    • PowerPoint and remote control available upon request
  • + $200 – Ensemble set up for up to 5 additional musicians' microphone and monitor package:
    • Up to twelve microphone inputs for drums, piano, other instruments, background singers, etc.
    • Up to four stage monitors with two mixes
    • A downbeat for soundcheck with all the musicians is required 30 minutes before normal rehearsal time.
    • Additional tech for setup — 45 min for setup and 15 min for strike

*Front Of House charges listed above are an estimate for a House Manager and 2 Ushers. Charges will be adjusted for time and if the personnel can be found. Required for all events with an audience.

All initial requests should be made via the Music Department Scheduler. Once their recital is confirmed, the student will receive a confirmation email.

Recording Sessions

$150

Availability

Recording Session Packages are for Audition or Competition only.

Request must be made by Faculty at least 6 weeks in advance via the Music Department Scheduler.

One 2-hour recording session equates to $150 total with no additional time or options.  

You are allowed two 2-hour recording sessions or a 4-hour recording session max per semester.  

Included Labor of One Audio Tech

  • 30 minute set up
  • 30 minute soundcheck
  • 2-hour recording session
  • 30 minute strike

Included Equipment

  • Piano with bench
  • Padded Chair and Music Stand
  • Stereo room mics
  • Audio Recording equipment (computer, interface, and microphone preamps)

Please come ready to record. You do not want to use this time to rehearse. All musicians should arrive at the beginning of your scheduled time.

Additional Options

  • + $150 – Single Camera Video Recording and/or Live Streaming (includes a video technician for 2 hour session). Add an additional $50 for 4 hour recording session.
  • + $10 – per additional microphone with a two-microphone cap. Includes mic, mic stand & cable.
