Biography
Amanda Ford is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and yoga teacher with a passion for fostering resilience and meaningful connection. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University and her MSW from the University of Utah. Her clinical experience includes supporting couples and families navigating conflict, grief, divorce, blended family dynamics, and faith transitions, as well as working with teens in residential treatment.
Amanda began teaching at the university level in 2013 at BYU–Hawaii in the Social Work and Intercultural Peacebuilding programs. In 2024, she relocated to Logan, Utah, where she now teaches Social Work and Peace Studies at Utah State University. Her teaching focuses on human behavior, spirituality, mindfulness, and conflict transformation. She also serves as faculty advisor to the Heravi Peace Institute Student Board.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys yoga, exploring cultures and world religions, particularly the Vietnamese language and Southeast Asian traditions, traveling, visiting national parks, and spending time outdoors with her partner and children.
