What is Camp HOPE?
Camp HOPE America - Utah is a year-round mentoring program for youth impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. Our mission is to help our youth find pathways to HOPE and healing, and provide opportunities that they otherwise wouldn't have.

Volunteers can expect to interact with participants at activities and help them set goals for their future.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah, John A. Moran Eye Center, is actively seeking a director for the Patient Support Program. This position includes psychosocial and counseling support to patients with visual impairment and blindness. Responsibilities include supervising a small multidisciplinary staff, individual and group counseling for patients with visual impairment/blindness and their families, providing information and referrals, collaborating with community programs and agencies that support people who are blind, educating ophthalmology residents and fellows, and offering supportive and crisis counseling to department staff as needed. The skills required for this position include: crisis counseling, rehabilitation counseling, group work, teaching, and community education. This is a full-time clinical faculty position in an academic setting. Candidates must be LCSW licensed with a PhD or DSW. Who We Need:

Position Overview

Grow Ogden is seeking a Caseworker Advocate to provide guidance, encouragement, and advocacy for farm trainees as they work toward self-sufficiency. In this role, you will support individuals facing or experiencing homelessness by helping them set goals, overcome barriers, and access community resources. Working closely with the Farm Manager and Job-Training Supervisor, you will provide one-on-one mentorship, ensuring trainees have the support they need to succeed in both personal and professional development.

This role is not focused on diagnosing mental health conditions or providing therapy but rather on connecting trainees with external services and resources as needed.


About Grow Ogden & Eden Streets

Eden Streets is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives through sustainable agriculture. Grow Ogden, an urban farm and job-training program, provides transitional employment opportunities while producing fresh, locally grown food for donation to community food pantries. By March 2025, we aim to hire six farm trainees who will receive hands-on training in regenerative farming alongside wraparound support services.

      Track and report on trainee wellness, belonging assessments, and overall program impact.
      Work alongside the Job-Training Supervisor to analyze and report program outcomes.

Logan Campus


The Wellness Promotion and Suicide Prevention Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness promotion and suicide prevention programs at Utah State University, including Logan and Statewide Campuses. This role focuses on enhancing the overall well-being of students and strengthening USU’s culture of care through proactive upstream interventions and outreach initiatives. Additionally, this role assists with the compliance work related to relevant policies and laws (e.g., Stop Campus Hazing Act).

The scope of this position includes suicide prevention, mental health promotion, health promotion, interpersonal violence prevention, hazing prevention, and sexual health promotion. This position plays a key role in coordinating university-wide wellness initiatives through close collaboration with key partners, including the CAPS AOD Specialist, the Office of Sexual Assault & Anti-Violence Information (SAAVI), Campus Recreation, and the Civil Rights and Title IX Office. This position is a member of CAPS and reports directly to the Executive Director of CAPS. It can be a clinical or non-clinical position based on the applicant’s interest and experience. This position is based in Logan, and periodic travel to Statewide Campuses is expected.

 

Responsibilities


Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (65-85%):
  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate individual and community-level programs for wellness promotion initiatives, including Upstander training for bystander intervention, and other trainings and campaigns for suicide prevention, interpersonal violence prevention, and sexual health promotion.
  2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individual and community-level programs and training in compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act.
  3. Develop, implement, and evaluate community-building activities and initiatives for USU students as a prevention strategy.
  4. Evaluate data (e.g., the National College Health Assessment Survey, the Healthy Minds Study) to develop data-driven strategies and utilize evidence-based practices to inform initiatives.
  5. Assess the effectiveness of wellness programs through surveys, feedback, and data analysis.
  6. Initiate campus partnerships to integrate wellness promotion into broader university initiatives.
  7. Lead or assist in compliance work related to health promotion, including initiatives and requirements under the Stop Campus Hazing Act.
  8. Chair CAPS’s wellness promotion committee, which includes the Alcohol and Other Drug Specialist, the REACH Peer Coordinator, and Residence Life embedded therapists.
  9. May create and oversee an undergraduate peer educator program for student-led training, initiatives, events, and activities.
  10. Organize communications to the university community to inform them about CAPS services and availability.
  11. Maintain accurate records of program activities and participation.
Direct Clinical Services- Optional (20%):
  1. Provide initial triage consultations, crisis interventions, intake assessments, and individual therapy to students.
  2. Maintain timely and accurate records of clinical services.
Other Administrative Duties (15%):
  1. Serve in a consultant and expert role in mental health promotion and suicide prevention to student services units, student organizations, student leaders, colleges and schools.
  2. Participate in university-wide committees as needed.
  3. Participate in weekly case staffing and administrative staff meetings.
  4. Engage in staff development activities.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree in public health, higher education, social work, counseling, or other related field.
  2. One year of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating health/wellness promotion initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Two or more years of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating health/wellness promotion initiatives.
  2. Experience in a higher education setting.
  3. Expertise in suicide prevention, mental health, and/or sexual violence.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Cherish Families is an ambitious, woman-established, fun and collaborative nonprofit organization supporting individuals and families, particularly those from polygamous and high-control backgrounds, on their path from crisis to stability and long-term success. We provide trauma-informed advocacy, clinical services, and coordinated community support to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment.

Position Summary
The Mental Health Therapist provides trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families impacted by trauma, violence, and instability. This role works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary nonprofit team to support client safety, emotional well-being, and long-term healing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Support clients experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and related concerns
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessment as needed
  • Collaborate with victim advocates, case managers, and community partners
  • Maintain accurate, ethical, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Active licensure (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, or equivalent) in Utah and/or Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably trauma-informed or victim-focused
  • Strong crisis intervention and documentation skills
  • Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive care
Work Environment
  • Office-based with potential for limited hybrid services
  • Regular exposure to trauma-related content requiring emotional resilience and self-care

Our center is a growing group practice located in the heart of Ogden. We are moving into a newly renovated building with lots of lovely natural light. We have a very diverse clientele and see folks from all walks of life. Our speciality is providing evidence-based treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. We have a strong team-culture where we collaborate on care (e.g. different therapists wrapping around clients to provide individual, couples, and family therapy to increase the likelihood of success). Our center has a strong emphasis on ACT therapy and other third-wave movements in psychology (mindfulness based techniques). We also aim to be at the cutting edge of the field (e.g. many of us are actively learning RO-DBT to provide even more research-based tools to our clients). Supervision is a top-priority with Dr. David Johnson (Clinical Psychologist) and Katie Johnson (LCSW) often working collaboratively to provide CSW's a wrap-around supervision experience. Finally, we provide each CSW with CEU funds to be used for their continued education.

We are also encouraging of CSW's who have a need for balance in their life and are open to taking people on a part-time basis with flexible hours. We love Ogden and would be happy to employ therapists who live close by with a mission to give back to their community.
