Undergraduate Graduate

Undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Social Work. Recipients shall be applicants who exemplify the values of Social Work and the legacy of Dr. Di as determined by the schoalarship selection committee through an essay on what the social work values mean to them.

Karen Pugliesi Scholarship

Undergraduate Graduate

Open to first-generation students studying Sociology or Social Work with strong academic potential.

Stephanie Osborne Endowed Scholarship

Undergraduate Seniors Need-Based

Undergraduate senior students in the Department of Social Work. Demonstrate financial need, engaged in social work-related student associations and volunteer opportunities, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Submit a short essay describing their education goals and the benefits they expect to gain.

The Frances Handwerger Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduate Graduate Need-Based

Re-entry students on the basis of merit, need and topical interest (Women's issues and/or aging.)

The Luann M. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Award

Undergraduate Juniors Seniors Need-Based

Junior or first quarter senior majoring in social work. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of scholarship, character, professional promise, need, and who contribute financially to their own education. The candidates will demonstrate an awareness of the needs of others and genuine concern for advancing the social welfare of their fellow men.

The Richard A. & Krista L. Haws Scholarship Endowment

Undergraduate Graduate Need-Based

Students in the field of social work. 1. completed/completing internship with non-profit in Davis County. 2. Completed/completing internship in Weber or SLC Counties. 3. Completed/completing internship in Utah. Applicants must submit letter of recommendation from internship organization including contact information.

The Terry & David Peak Scholarship in Social Work

Graduate Need-Based

Eligible recipients must be enrolled or formally accepted for study in the Master of Social Work degree program. Applicants will be selected based on merit, and need with letter of application. A strong commitment to the values of of the discipline of social work.

Therapy in Motion (TiM) Scholarship

Undergraduate Graduate

Declared majors in good standing from the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology. A minor in Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapy. Preference for non-traditional students and veterans.
