This program is the first step towards a national certification with the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) or the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). Participants will gain practical experience through real-world scenarios, interactive exercises, and case studies. This course SPAN 4081 will prepare students to become familiarized with the Code of Ethics, healthcare system, cultural awareness, and medical terminology. This course is a part of a series of courses to become proficient in source and target languages and to become a professioal translator and interpreter.
