Artist's Statement

This piece was inspired by my want to hold myself accountable for my carbon output and to show that even what I would assume is regular life still contributes to a lot of ecological damage. I decided that I wanted to animate part of my day and then discuss how big my ecological footprint is. I created this piece was filming parts of my day and then looking back and animating them through the program procreate. I edited the pieces together with Premiere Rush from Adobe. I also collected my information for my ecological footprint from the website footpringcalculator.org.
