For our project, we decided to compare high end and affordable design in sustainable and unsustainable categories. To do this, we designed four different living rooms each showing adifferent category.

For our final project, we decided to individually write a poem and play our respective instruments over it (Morgan on the guitar and Carlin on the piano).

This project is titled “The Butterfly Effect.” The Butterfly effect is the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere.

What interested me most in this semester was observing and watching how people react and take action to the climate crisis. I noticed that there is a lot of pessimism and it’s easy to see why.

I would tell a peice of this story through my passion of graphic design. I designed a poster brochure about the meat diet in hopes of encouraging everyone to eat less meat.

My collage outlines the threat to the coral reefs. At the bottom of the artwork, we can see colorful and healthy coral; as the coral moves toward the top, it dies.

This semester I had the opportunity to go to Hawaii. I was able to see how our carbon footprint is impacting the coral around the island. The coral close to the shore looked like rocks and lacked a variety of wildlife.
