Jake Ralph and Nicolas Anderson - 2023

For our project, we decided to compare high end and affordable design in sustainable and unsustainable categories. To do this, we designed four different living rooms each showing a different category. We compared prices, ease of sourcing and ease of style. We also looked into each sustainable company and made sure they had values in accordance with sustainable practices.

Our motivation for this project was finding ways to make interior design more sustainable. As we continue our education we want to keep in mind sustainable practices that can change this field. This industry is rooted in consumerism and trends, so finding ways to change this is crucial in this environmental crisis.

Our process was taking two categories each and curating a design. We worked together and independently for each space. We came together to refine our design, compare our findings and come to conclusions about each category.
