Artist's Statement

With my project, an illustrated GIF, I wanted to show that our choices are what will determine our worlds fate. Because this is such a broad concept to communicate, I wanted to simplify the visual representation as much as possible. I focused my illustrations on the two results we have, design or disaster, represented through two different earth illustrations. I chose a “choose your own adventure” game theme and choppy transitions to reflect the age of technology that will either lead to disaster or be harnessed in design. The more we come to understand our choices effect our world, the easier it is to see a path forward.
