Artist's Statement

I was inspired to create this piece when I learned that if everyone on the planet was to live like the average American, we would need about 5 planets earths. This fact alone encouraged me to reevaluate the consumptive lifestyle that I was living, and by sharing this graphic narrative I hope to impact the lives and choices of others as well. If I truly believe that everyone on the planet deserves to live an equitable life, and if this is the only planet that we have got, then I had better learn to only use my fair share of it.
