Artist's Statement

My goal with this painting is to show that creative minds and the art that they create and share can have a big impact on helping people see what our world could look like if we take more action to preserve this earth! I used a picture of a factory (Picture credit: 2016 Getty images) and painted a scene of nature that I imagine we could be seeing in place of the ugly, dirty, pollutant factory. The only painted part is in one large brush stroke to symbolise the importance of art in sharing this vision with the world. This vision to spread awareness of the sad and drastic effects our actions as a society are having on our beautiful earth. Let’s take action and do what we can to preserve the clean and beautiful parts we have left of our dear mother nature. Think of what you can do!
