Artist's Statement

With my project, I wanted to explore not only the feelings and symptoms anxiety about the environment can bring about, but also potential ways to address that problem. I wanted to get out some of the worry I was feeling, but in a way that wouldn’t needlessly spread the worry to others. I designed a canvas course on how to recognize and manage eco-anxiety, and this image serves as the banner on the homepage of the website. I used Photoshop to design this image, using photos of ocean pollution as the background for the title and icons from the Noun Project.
