Artist's Statement

For my final project in this class, I wanted to really focus on the growing issue that we face concerning one-time plastic use. Many of the items that we use everyday have a large amount of plastic, especially for only being used once. There are multiple healthier alternatives to this plastic use, and if everyone were to make these easy switches in their lives, we would cut down the plastic waste that ends up in our oceans and habitats by more than half. I hand-drew a visual fact sheet to point out this issue, and then posted it on all of my social media platforms (encouraging others to repost it) in order to spread awareness to my peers and inspire them to make these changes.
