Artist's Statement

I have always been fascinated with all things space and stars. At night (depending on the location), we can only see a limited number of stars due to both light pollution and pollution from fossil fuels. In this class, we have spent time discussing pollution as one of the contributing factors to global warming. I have created a painting that shows the untainted beauty of the night sky as it could be if there were no pollution.
