Artist's Statement

This oil-pastel piece was inspired by the beauty of the world that I grew up knowing. I spent much of my childhood outside and learned to appreciate the earth and its majesty. I have also seen the impact that humans have made, specifically the negative impact we have made. We are slowly killing this world that we live in by disrespecting it by our pollution and unsustainable way of living. Ultimately it is up to you and I to make the difference. The world that we live in is your choice. What world would you prefer to live in? One that is thriving and full of life or one that is devastated by fires and pollution? Your choice.
