Artist's Statement

For my final project, I chose to make three bottles out of ceramic. The idea behind this piece was to show a sustainable way of holding liquids. Ceramic is a very sustainable material that can be found from any sort of clay. Using these ceramic pieces to hold liquids such as oils. At some point in the future, I hope people start using glass or ceramic material to hold things instead of using or buying plastic bottles. You could also attach a cork onto these bottles or wrap the top of them. Buying ceramic handmade pieces also helps local artists by supporting their craft. I know that once I have my own home I will be using more ceramic dishware. These vessels were also not glazed on purpose to show that they could be painted by hand to even make them customizable.
