Artist's Statement

Our project is a parody infomercial demonstrating the exhausting media and societal pressure people feel to have to fix everything all at once. While we are in dire need for drastic changes in our world. It’s important to remember that change starts small and overwhelming people won’t help anyone. We brainstormed several Ideas, settling on this one after we saw the somber tone of other proposed projects. We wanted to remember the spirit that being more climate conscious can be fun! Because of this we formatted our video in the style of an extended TikTok, and we plan to also post it to that platform as well. We began our process by storyboarding. We wrote and developed the piece while filming, and then added voiceover in post.
