Artist's Statement

For my project, I created a short kid’s book. My inspiration for this is that my niece, Ruby, who I dedicated the book to, loves to read her books and her stories. I wanted to create something that she can read and have to learn about how important it is to take care of the planet that we have now and that we only have one Earth. My process was to first write the story, that went through multiple drafts before I was satisfied. Then I worked on creating the physical copy and finally bound and recorded me reading the story.
