Educational Background
Biography
KimberLeigh was born on the opening day of Aggie football in 1973 and was given the "Aggie Baby" award, so has been a True Aggie for life. She has been an award-winning teacher at Utah State for many years. She loves to inspire her students to employ statistical thinking in their daily lives. She currently coordinates all the Stat 1040/1045 courses State-wide including concurrent enrollment and serves on many committees, including Faculty Senator.
Teaching Interests
Teaching interests include undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses and large-student section quantitative literacy courses for non-STEM majors. Innovative pedagogy, active learning, and growth mindset combine to help math phobic students succeed in QL courses.
Research Interests
Research interests include the field of undergraduate statistics education, specifically, improving student understanding, student attitudes in statistics and decreasing statistics anxiety in large-student sections of undergraduate introductory statistics courses through innovative instruction and continuous assessment.
