Educational Background
Biography
I was born in Oklahoma and received a PhD in Mathematics in 2021 from the University of Oklahoma. I continued learning and expanding my research interests as a Postdoctoral fellow at Colorado State University.
Teaching Interests
My teaching interests include courses for abstract algebra, cognition and learning theories, and methodologies for education research.
Research Interests
My research focuses on the teaching and learning of abstract algebra. I draw from theories related to mathematical intuition, semiotics, and embodied cognition to investigate learners' thinking and design instruction.
