About Me

I am originally from Ghana. My academic interests revolve around using statistics and computation to better understand environmental and climate challenges. I love the idea that math and data can help solve problems that impact people’s lives in meaningful ways. Outside of research, I enjoy hiking Utah’s trails, traveling, and discovering new places - whether it’s a mountain peak, a quiet café, or a bustling city street. I’m always up for an adventure, and I find that exploring the world around me fuels my curiosity in the classroom and in research. I also enjoy connecting with people from different cultures and learning their stories, which keeps me grounded and reminds me why the work I do matters.

Why I Came to USU

I chose Utah State University because of its strong reputation in Statistics and Data Science and the opportunity to work with supportive faculty on interdisciplinary research. The program’s emphasis on methodological development and applied collaboration provides the ideal environment to pursue my academic and professional goals.
